Ami Mochi is a small-batch handmade studio based in Yokohama, Japan, exploring form through fabric, yarn, and texture.
What began as a personal curiosity — sourcing materials and experimenting with different techniques — has grown into a dedicated practice of creating thoughtfully constructed accessories.
Each piece is made slowly and intentionally, combining carefully selected Japanese fabrics and yarns to create designs that are simple, yet quietly distinctive.
Our work is shaped by an interest in balance — between softness and structure, familiarity and newness. Through subtle details and refined finishes, we aim to reimagine everyday objects in a way that feels natural and wearable.

“Ami” (編み) — to knit or weave
“Mochi” — a symbol of softness, comfort, and warmth

Ami Mochi Signature
Every Ami Mochi Signature piece is finished with our
"Ami Edgework" — a hand-crocheted edge stitched
in Japanese yarn, chosen each time to echo the fabric beneath.
It's the detail that turns a fabric scrunchie into
something quietly considered.
