Each piece begins with carefully selected cotton fabric, chosen for its colour, texture, and quiet elegance. The edge is then finished by hand with our scalloped "Ami Edgework", adding texture, movement, and a subtle handmade touch — while allowing the fabric to remain the focus.

Fabric Story
Blue Romance / 02 began with a single fabric — a soft sky blue Japanese cotton with a clean, open weave and naturally frayed fringe edges, kept intentionally raw. The colour felt like a quiet afternoon sky: still, weightless, and full of light. Where Blue Romance / 01 carried the soft palette of hydrangea season, /02 holds the openness of the sky above it.

Colour Story
The fabric is paired with a textured sky blue yarn from Knittingbird Tokyo, carrying the same tonal family — soft blue with delicate variation in the strand. Worked round after round in our finer Ami Edgework, the crochet lets the fabric breathe rather than crowding it, so the edge feels like an extension of the cloth, not a contrast to it.

The result is a piece that holds together as one quiet, weightless whole.
